The great story of Kenauk Nature begins in 1932, when Herman Smith-Johannsen, nicknamed "Jackrabbit", decided to develop a cross-country ski trail located partly on the territory that today belongs to the fishery.

In 1970, Kenauk Nature, formerly linked to the Château Montebello through an economic partnership, opened its doors to the public for the very first time and the group was quickly identified as a unique luxury hotel destination.

Nowadays, Kenauk Nature is proud to welcome you to one of their magnificent chalets divided into 3 categories: Deluxe , Classic and Heritage . It is also possible to rent a "Glamping" style yurt. Each category has its own unique aspects, allowing for a one-of-a-kind experience on each and every visit. All chalets are equipped with a kitchen, including an oven, fridge, freezer and sink. Most chalets in the Deluxe category are also equipped with a dishwasher. Do not hesitate to call the reception for more information.

The Deluxe category includes 9 chalets, which can accommodate between 4 and 19 people. The chalets in this category are all equipped with standard North American electrical outlets and benefit from a modern interior for ultimate comfort.

The category Classic includes 9 chalets, which can accommodate from 4 to 14 people. Chalets in this category have no electrical outlets and are lit by oil lamps, allowing you to let go and unite with nature.

The category Heritage includes 3 chalets, which can accommodate from 2 to 5 people. Dating back to the 1930s, the cabins in this category have a log exterior, which gives them a more rustic character. In addition, the cabins of the series Heritage do not have electrical outlets, just like those of the classic series.
